hi
2 years ago i got a necklace from ernest jones that broke after a few wears. I had bought their warranty and it was replaced. After a few months it did the same thing. The 2nd time i had it replaced the lady serving me actually broke the replacement whilst cleaning it and another needed to be ordered. After this i decided to choose another piece of jewelry instead.
i picked this up on the 7th of Feb - i went for diamond ring instead. 3 weeks on the ring is already missing a stone.
Planning to go back to store today and ask for a refund, however, the ring cost £200 and £160 of this came from the insurance I had on the necklace.
Any ideas what way is best to proceed -i really don't want another bit of jewelry that will likely break!

Ernest Jones isn't great for jewellery to be honest, their products are mostly style over substance. If you do decide to go for another necklace you need to look at the type of chain as some are stronger then others. Snake chains are pretty strong, box chains are awful, as are Singapore chains. There's a guide here; https://www.ross-simons.com/education/buying-guides/types-of-chain-jewelry.html Likewise with ring settings, stones are more likely to fall out of settings which don't hold the ring in fully and if you're wearing it every day then that won't help either (sorry).0
