Can you make multiple claims (diff companies) for one incident?

Apologies if this is a rehash of a question that has been asked multiple times before but I did do a search!

I am currently on holiday and have managed to drop my MacBook at a fair velocity, the lid, screen and bottom casing are all bent (although the MacBook is still working (I'm typing on it now) and the visible screen area is not affected).

The repair will probably cost close to purchase price (£1600) or say £600 via a non apple approved route

I have the following insurance :

Travel Insurance via Nationwide Flex Plus Account : Max claim per item is £400 (Excess £50?)
AmEx Basic Travel Insurance (as I bought the airline tickets via them) Max claim per item is £250 (Excess £100)
Home Insurance via Tesco Bank : Laptop is listed as covered item at £1600

Obviously I don't want to claim on the house insurance as I'll lose my NCD, so can I make two claims (one via Nationwide and one via AmEx) to at least recoup some of the outlay?

(Going forward I need to get better cover for accidentals damages going abroad as I now realise that the Nationwide cover is pitiful for personal possessions)

Thanks for your time

No you can't make multiple claims for one incident or put a claim with two companies for one incident.

I would just claim with home insurance as the whole point of having insurance is for scenarios like this. Do you have accidental cover? How much is excess?

How will you give the item to both insurers? If they payout for a replacement item they will want the old one.
