Car insurance with cheap cancellation cost?

Good Morning,

My car insurance is due for renewal on 12 March, however it is likely (but not confirmed) that I will dispose of my car towards the end of April and no longer require insurance in the near future.

Are there any insurers who have particularly low cancellation charges? I'm assuming that this would probably work out cheaper than using temporary insurance for 4-6 weeks?

Plenty of insurers have low admin fees, check out the ones with online access to make changes.

cancelling the policy is likely to attract a fee though.

No point in recommending companies because they may want quadruple the price of your cheapest quotes.

Cheapest option, sell the car now and make alternate arrangements for transport, is that cheaper?

Thanks, unfortunately I can't get rid of the car now. I've spoken to my current insurer (Tesco) who tell me I can cancel for a charge of £40 plus the pro rata daily rate of insurance (about 50p per day) so not too bad, and have renewed with them on this basis.
