Traditional Ariel or TNR or do people use more modern fonts these days?

I've stuck to Arial myself, personally, I'd say any traditional-looking font, but never Comic sans, it arouses so much antipathy.0

Sans serif fonts are generally considered more accessible/readable so I would avoid TNR. Arial is fine or perhaps Calibri, Tahoma etc if you want to be a little different from the majority. I think fonts for CVs are a bit like job interview clothes - keep them simple and conservative.0

Agree with the sans serif point. Comic sans is the norm in finance and law nowadays, so I’d go with that. Everyone’s bound to follow soon enough.
The odd Wingding always goes down well too.0 -

Unhelpful, misleading, but funny :rotfl:Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Hi
I use Calibri size 11.
I prefer it to Ariel.
Cheers

If you are submitting it by email, either make it a pdf before you send it, or use a font which everyone will have, definitely, if you have to send it as a Word document.
I speak from experience: our work has adopted a non-standard font as part of our corporate identity, and someone was upset when a Powerpoint presentation didn't display the right font. I explained that it was because we were using a non-work laptop, which didn't have 'our' font installed.
When people send application forms back to us, they are usually fairly mangled because it's a non-standard font ...Signature removed for peace of mind0
