Hi
I have life and critical illness insurance which we started 2 years ago.
One month ago I was diagnosed to have diabetes(still on diet control)
Do I need to inform the insurance company of the new development and will it affect my premium (or even pay outs) ?

No. Applications are a snapshot in time for known issues. You do not need to notify them.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

As above, you don't need to inform the insurer. It's worth noting that it's extremely difficult to get critical illness cover again if you're diagnosed with diabetes so I'd recommend you think very carefully before you ever consider cancelling it (not saying you're thinking of cancelling, but just making you aware)0
