    quote by Europcar

'The terms and conditions of the company’s rental agreement state that the customer is responsible for any parking fines or penalty charges,' a company spokesman said. 'If Europcar receives a fine or [a penalty charge notice] the customer will be invoiced for the fine along with an administration fee.'

No acknowledgement by Europcar that they really should be following the BVRLA protocol for this, which doesn't include 'pay up at first request, slap the motorist an additional charge, then tell him, as a fait accompli, when it's all too late to be dealt with'.

Some crazy comments as usual from DM readers. They say much more about the individual making the comments than anything they actually say.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

The company still stands by its original decision.

They really need a good kicking.
