Glasses Prescription cost

Morning,

I'm a contact lens wearer so not aware of costs for glasses. My 16 year old d.d has a script for glasses of
Right sph +0.5
Left spy + 0.75
How much (rough guesstimate) are we looking at for the glasses please? Bearing in mind frames are different prices and she has a Code A voucher.
I think what I'm trying to ask is ...is this an expensive/complicated script?

No, it is about as basic as can be!

Because she is under 18 you cannot legally order glasses to this prescription online. Otherwise you could have got them for £6 plus postage! (Decent coated lenses in a range of basic frames).

Opticians prices vary wildly from maybe £20 to a small fortune. You may be able to find one of the manufacturing companies that optician's use locally. Many will deal direct and generally offer single vision glasses from about £15 upwards.

No idea how the voucher works, the figures I mentioned assume you are just paying in the normal way.

The value of the voucher os £39.10. You will need to pay anything over that.

As you say frames can range form cheap to very expensive.
