As above, i do love a couple of cups of coffee in the morning but need to cut down my sugar intake, what other options do i have please to sweeten my hot drinks?

Healthiest way is to cut it down gradually until you can have your hot drinks with no sweeteningHow to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
Xylitol. It tastes almost like sugar, has less calories and believe it or not, is good for your teeth.
On the downside its not cheap (around £10 for 1kg) and can potentially kill pets if swallowed by them.0 -
We find various Stevia sweeteners are good, and a jar lasts a long time. Gradually cut down how much you add to your morning coffee.0

Xylitol is actively good for teeth - but a problem with all artificial sweeteners if your consuming quite a bit of it in a day, is that it does have quite a laxative effect
So either cutting down on the sweetness of the drinks, or the number of the drinks should still be the goal!How to find a dentist.

Why do you need to cut down on sugar specifically? (Rather than reducing calories in general.)
The long term solution would be to wean yourself off the sugar - and not just in the two coffees you have in the morning. I find fruit teas don't need sugar, so if you can wean yourself off the coffee as well (and it really isn't good for you), then you'd be killing two birds with one stone.
What about the rest of the day? Fizzy pop? Cakes, biscuits? Hidden sugar in convenience foods?No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -

I used to drink a lot of coffee - 6 or 7 mugs a day, with sugar. In my defence, I was teaching at the time...
10 years ago, my OH was diagnosed with cancer, and although he got off very lightly (didn't need radiotherapy or chemo) we decided to reassess our eating habits. And one of the things we cut out was coffee (both of us - I'm a team player). Actually, not quite true. We had one coffee a week. We designated Thursday evenings as 'coffee night', and my goodness we looked forward to it!!
10 years on, and with no further cancer issues, we're not quite as strict with ourselves - but I still try to have no more than one a day. Think how much sugar I'm not having!!No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -
I tried to use sweetners, but found it gave me acid reflux. Best solution was to go cold turkey, within two weeks I didn't miss it (could not stand the thought of sweetening coffee now).0
