I would like to look at all options as I dont want a major gap there and I think that the root canal with crown may not have been done well. Ive already had 2cpnsultations under the nhs. The first one wanted to take 2teeth out! This lady has fixed filling and only says one tooth is needed for extraction but now ive read more I feel there may be other alternatives with going private but one has to pay each time I get different advice. I cant stay too long like this I am as my tooth can play up particularly when I am overworked or tired and at times can be very sore. Any thoughts? Its shocking to hear different things from different dentists. Also I read that some have like a 3d machine who are more specialist and they can see the roots better.

NHS or not ask three different dentists about the same Patient and you will get four different opinions.
Aa tooth that has ready been rootfilled and crowned is always going to be difficult to treat if it flares up . Often the roots can be cracked or so little tooth left after treatment that there is no option but to take the tooth out. If you are suitable and have suitable bone to replace the tooth an implant will cost around £2000.
At best a specialist endodontist may be able to re root treat the tooth. This is not available on the NHS and will cost upwards of £600 plus the cost of a new crown.
If you want to see someone privately you will pay for a consultation first £60 to £150 but you would best be advised to ask one of the dentists who has already seen you if a referral to eg an endodontist (root canal specialist) would be worthwhile and who they refer to.0 -
I saw,the nhs do this in certain hospitals0

In the vast majority of the country no one, including hospitals will do this on the NHS.
The very few dental hospitals etc that will offer this will do so for a very few people eg those who have had radiotherapy or are taking certain drugs that make taking a tooth out very risky.
For the vast majority specialist root treatment will only be available privately. Eg this is a typical idea of who can be referred for NHS endodontics (root treatment) http://www.leedsth.nhs.uk/assets/Uploads/Endodontic-Service-Letter-2018-1.pdf0
