Any BT retention deal which they are quiet about?

So we moved the house 2 years ago and I managed to get a decent deal in order to stay with BT
I got Superfast Fibre 2 Unlimited for 44.99/month - for 67 Mbit down
Now, 2 years passed, and my BT discount ends by 29th of December 2018. So I checked the uswitch and found that I can get Black Friday deal from 27.99 with 18 month contract for exactly same speeds (no wonder - same company).
Both - total price, including line rental.
So currently I spend 17 ponds a month more than I could.
So I called their "customer retention" line. Had a chat with nice chap... so in short the transcript:
Rep: Bla bla bla, very nice deal to get the "Superfast Fibre Plus" for £46.99 a month.
Me: - not interested, as all I am interested - same speed and price.
REP OK, then, "absolute minimum I can get you - £38.99 a month."
Me well, not exactly what I was looking for. As in 18 months I will be almost £200 worse.
Rep well, there is nothing I can do as 38.99 is the best of the best...
Me fine, will talk with Plusnet.
Rep that's fine. bye.
So now the question: are there any better deals for same? Maybe I could use some other example, in order to negotiate? any other tips?
another question - is it worth to change BT to Plusnet?

I have been getting great deals for the last few years with BT.Everytime they have a price rise I am allowed to negotiate a new deal and end up paying less.
I have unlimited Infinity 1, but got a free speed boost ages ago to Infinity 2 speeds and they have kept me on that. I get 86Mbit down 20 up.My last deal I got the price down to £21.99 a month and that includes free bit Sport for 12 months.
To get a deal from them be prepared to move if you have to. Find a decent deal to chuck in their face i.e Plustnet or Vodaphone come to mind.
Get through to Retentions, tell them you require your MAC code because you are away to switch(you don't really need a Mac code these days), then they may start offering you a better deal, if not go ahead and start a switch with a provider you can get a decent deal from and you are confident about.
BT will most likely be contacting you a few days later, begging you to stay and matching or bettering your new deal0 -
Don't forget when you threaten to leave to go to Plusnet the money is staying within the BT Group, that doesn't offer them much incentive to offer you a great deal.0

Posible cheaper the up to 52 meg.
Be aware that cancelling before 29th Nov may cost .0 -
So called them today again. They stick to same offer.
Although this time rep "went to ask for another deal to two floor managers" but "both said no" .
So in this case, I think the Plusnet will be my new provider. Unless I will chose talk talk..mI own an EV. AMA0
