BWLegal add on £4500 for 23 parking tickets and harassed a nurse daily

This lady is receiving help elsewhere.
One interesting piece of information is that BW issued separate claims for each PCN (on the instructions of their client) and most of them were caught up in the Northampton CC "glitch" that meant all of the claims issued by BW on a certain day in September weren't actually posted to the defendants.Always remember to abide by Space Corps Directive 39436175880932/B:
'All nations attending the conference are only allocated one parking space.'

Has she actually lost in court or is it at a rescuable stage?
Are you saying most of her claims were sent (not sent) on 13th Sept?
I hope she hasn't let a firm deal with it. Jeez no, spare the poor woman.
Not that person who posts on pepipoo, I hope...
I hope someone unaggressive and genuine and not some person with a company/money/kudos agenda, is assisting her free.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

BW did not act in the correctly , they should NOT have processed 23 seperate charges , an absolute disgrace that needs looking at by the SRA

Let us hope that the someone helping her is a professional and not some "know it all" who sees a fast buck.
I bet the PPC never requested info 23 times from the DVLA0 -
Weeeeel
I think what the general public might think is that :-
This lady admits to having parked somewhere she shouldn't on at least 23 occasions. She admits to knowing what she was doing and accepts that she was wrong. She ignored all the correspondence and, only now, via The Daily Mail sob story, is facing up to what she has done. And she is playing the nurse card - even you have said "this nurse". While we all love nurses (my mum was one) it doesn't give them carte blanche to do stuff like this.
Whether or not the parking company/solicitors are evil scammers they will think she is "bang to rights" and will have little sympathy. In all honesty, I can't think of anyone I know who wouldn't share that view on what we know. I agree with Umkomaas and C_M, though, that the story, as it stands, has a lot of holes in it.
They might also look at this forum and wonder about whether or not it is right that she could have got off on a "technicality" like the wrong signage.
The punishment doesn't fit the crime though and reading the comments in the Daily Mail not many are willing to take that view, they all just go along with the rest of the lynch mob until it happens to them of course!, its the holier than thou attitude which grinds my gears!0 -

Del Boy, the bods who write comments in articles are just key board warriors, the same on facebook and twitter would be too scared to make their comments face to face
Would I call John Hurley of the IPC a scammer face to face ... you bet, even if he did break down and cry0 -
if this is a continuation of the mail glitch , (that we have already read about in other cases) , it is now time for the court services to alter there postage methods , if a private contractor (yj mail) was used CANCEL THE CONTRACT !!! royal mail offer 2d/3d tracking at minimal cost , this is actuated by the postman AT THE LOCATION and shows proof it was delivered , via GPS
or simply , do signed for0 -

Not disagreeing with that. I am just saying how a lot of people see it - especially DM readers....
We have a number of directors on my estate and quite a few of them would take this view - especially, those who have been blocked in by our latest rogue parker and his mates. I agree with you that it is a different matter if it happens to you - of course the converse is true - you can be not over bothered about someone taking someone else's parking space until you come home and find you have nowhere to park!
Despite what is happening with Greg Knight and his bill this is still quite a minority interest/topic for a lot of folks so knowledge is going to be sparse. I use a gym and we have had quite a few members getting tickets - both private (Asda) and Council (the car park for gym use) - pretty much everyone has regarded it as a minor irritant and, after an initial rant/moan, have forgotten about it. In general, they pay (mostly council) or ignore (mostly Asda) - the majority will take the view they were in the wrong - everyone knows the parking "rules" so tend to be accepting.
I completely agree with you about the disproportianality of the penalties. That's not likely to bother too many people who have decided she is guilty I am afraid - certainly your DM readers0 -
That will be impossible! :rotfl:Would I call John Hurley of the IPC a scammer face to facePlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I thought you decided to bow out of this forum as we are on a different side of the fence from you ?
Anyway, welcome back but you did explain in great detail the problem you have on another thread and clearly nothing has changed for you. Why not go back to that thread
Councils are actually quite easy to beat using the Traffic Penalty Tribunal and a good defence
Unlike POPLA, they are impartial
Asda mainly use PE and all the rubbish that goes with that, so it's a puzzle why they pay councils tickets and ignore PE ?
Each to their own I guess0
