Solicitor not sent information to land registry

I just spoke to the land registry department to discover that the conveyancer who acted on my behalf did not send the required information to the land registry and yet this was covered in the fees. I was wondering what might be able to do about this?

Do you mean they haven’t yet applied to register your purchase?
If so, have you asked them why?0 -

Yes, they haven't applied to register my purchase. I completed back in June.
I haven't asked why yet. Just want to find out the best steps to follow in order to address this.0 -

Phone the solicitors and ask politely why they haven't yet.0 -
I would put your request in writing. I would ask for a copy of the confirmation of completion of registration from the land registry. If they haven't done it, that's bad, but what you really need here is for them to get on with doing it. Forget any idea that you might get compensation etc. (i am not saying that this is what you were thinking)0

Has to be the first step as can take time for Land Registry to action. Depends how busy they are.0 -
I just contacted land registry again to follow up and they claim not to have received the application still. And yet the solicitors claim to have sent it.
There seems to be some miscommunication somewhere. I’ve tried to ring the solicitors and my call keeps getting cutoff.
Not really sure what’s going on.
I’ve now emailed the post completions team to find out if they can resolve this, otherwise the next step seems to be go via the complaints procedure.
Does anyone have any helpful advice?0 -
What do you actually want to achieve?
Do you just want to get the property registered?
Or do you want something above and beyond that?0 -
ask your solicitor to provide a copy of what was sent to the LR? They will have kept a copy
ask them when they sent it? and how it was sent?0 -
