Advertising via online estate agent and they want land registry?

I've never had this before, in fact I'm already advertising my home with an online agency who didn't ask for this information but I've chosen to advertise through a second agent (Doorsteps). I live in Scotland and their online AML form states that they can't do this for me. It's frustrating as I want my house on the market now - they have the schedule, the images, the Home Report and EPC. Plus they have my ID verified through copy driving licence and copy utility bill.
What on earth is it, how do I get it, and have they got the right to ask for it? Should I ask my previous conveyancing solicitor who I purchased the house with for a copy of the land registry? Help!
thanks

Sounds like they want proof you own the property.
This might help https://landregistryservice.uk/services/scotland
There have been occasions of fraud being committed when people renting a property attempt to sell the property or even break in and try to rent/sell it when owners are away. They are being careful. I am sure there are some people that would prefer every estate agent doing these kinds of checks.0 -
Land Registry is a government agency. What exactly have they asked for? A copy of the title register, deeds, flood risk info?0

No no no, that's one of the rip-off merchants who pretend they're a government agency.deannatrois wrote: »Sounds like they want proof you own the property.

It's https://beta.ros.gov.uk/ for the Land Register. Unless you bought a long time ago, in which case the property might still be in the Register of Sasines (same agency but more complicated to get the info).
What exactly have they asked for? If they've called it the "Land Registry" that isn't even what it's called in Scotland so I'm not sure they'd understand what you'd send them.
It would be normal for your solicitor to send you a copy of your title once registration is complete - you sure you don't have this? If you have a note of a Title Number that will help to get an up to date copy of your title sheet.
If you're having trouble then get your (current) solicitor to help, as they'll need to have your titles anyway.0
