In terms of solely the cash reward, Barclays is the winner with £4/month (net after fee) vs Halifax's £3/month reward (£2/month from October I believe). The rest of the rewards are only worth it if you would actually use them anyway, so you need to investigate that and decide for yourself - Don't open an account solely for the rewards if you will never use them, particularly if you have to pay extra.

I've got both. Although I get the £4 per month reward from Barclays, the shopping rewards part of it has never worked for me. I prefer just using a Halifax debit or credit card to get cash back rather than going though a website.

Co-op does one with £4 reward (but needs 4 DD's) then gives you 5p for every debit card spend up to a maximum of £1.50 (so 30 usages)

Not got one yet but might once the TSB £5 rewards finish in December
