Contract ends 24/8/18.

Do I still have to give months notice (its with EE)?

If I get PAC code today, I understand I can then move my number to any new provider but

1. Does this count as giving notice?
2. When would I pay until? 24/8/18 or a month from today?

Getting a PAC out counts as sort of notice. If you don't use it it will expire in 30 days and you will continue with your current provider as if nothing has happened. If you use it you will terminate your contract with your current provider when the number transfers to the new provider.

You don't need to provide notice unless your are cancelling the contract without wanting to transfer the number.

If your number transfers before you minimum term is up you will just pay what you owe up to the end of minimum term. If the number transfers after the minimum term is up you will pay pro rata for the time past the minimum term at whatever the rate is outside of the minimum term.
