I have a Halifax credit card, which I have just finished paying off before the promotional offers end in 3 months time.
If I were to close the card account is there a certain amount of time I can wait to open a new card and receive a new offer? Such as 12 or 24 months? Or is it just sort of once in a lifetime for each provider?
(I have no real intention of going for it again, just asking out of curiosity really.)

Halifax are likely to give repeat offers if you manage your account well. Closing and opening accounts is the longer route.
