How long to wait after changing name

I recently got married and am in the process of changing my name on everything

I would like to apply for a new balance transfer credit card, but when I did the eligibility checker on here it was unable to give me any results:

Oops! We haven't been able to give you a score to show your chance of being accepted for some cards. This may be because we couldn't match some of the details you've given us.

Have 2 questions really;

How long should I wait before trying again?

Can I just apply for the card now in my maiden name and when it arrives have the account changed into my new name?

You can use an eligibility checker as many times as it's only a soft search not visible to lenders.

And yes you probably could do that if everywhere hasn't been updated yet
