Forgot to change my reg on NCP app - 5 fines on the way

Hi all
Just wanted your advice please. Apologies if there is a similar thread to this, I couldn't find one.
I park on the same NCP car park every day for work, paying through a parking app on my phone that has my car details saved. I recently got a new registration plate and forgot to update my registration on the parking app. Got my first fine through and I know there will be 4 more to follow!
Is there anyway I can appeal or fight this? Is it worth writing a letter to explain that I park there every day and had still paid, just forgot to update my reg? A genuine mistake.
Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

You need to read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread where you will find all the guidance you need.
In post #1 of that thread you will find a blue text appeal.
Send it as the keeper, not the driver.
Send it unchanged - no additions, no amendments.
Send it separately for each PCN you receive.
You need to edit your post to remove clues to the driver's identity.
Perhaps your second paragraph should start:The driver parks on the same NCP car park every day for work, paying through a parking app on his phone that has the car details saved.Review and adjust the rest of your post similarly.
There is no place for the word 'I' when describing events on the day.
The parking companies trawl forums like this just waiting for people to trip themselves up and can use your posts against you.0 -
For goodness sake don't appeal blabbing re who was driving. Glad you came here first.
And:
Do not reply if a poster with less than 1000 posts sends you a private message. People lurk and pop up and post on this forum with a dark agenda. Beware of 'unknown' new posters.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
