Hello everyone.
My 17 yr old has found full-time employment. I might be wrong here, but since he's under 18yrs, he's classed as a dependent, right? If so, what happens to child benefit or any child tax credits?

Child benefit and child tax credits will depend on if he remains in full time non advanced education. Tax credits and child benefit stop at 16 unless in FTNAE.
I assume he's now left education?0 -

Thanks for clarifying that. He doesn't start yet and HMRC have said to call them once he's actually started.
I just want to prepare in advance if income fluctuates drastically.0 -
Has he left full time non advanced education yet?0
