Tsb omg awful!!!

Paid my daughters car insurance on my CC, today she tried to transfer the money to my account.

Logged in on a secure PC and setup the new contact, then received the verification text and entered that (correctly). Account blocked.

Spent an hour each time on the phone waiting for someone to answer and they said someone will call back. Nobody called back so she called again.

Through the security checks and yes its me, trying to pay my dad back. Finally they said its unblocked but to wait 15 minutes before trying. Had dinner and an hour or so later we tried again. Setup the transfer and received the text code, blocked yet again.

What a nightmare. Anyone else having issues setting up new payments?

Why are you trying to pay your dad back if it's your daughter that should pay you back?

She said that to them not me. They asked her what the transfer was for.

Well after 1h 23m she finally got through to some snotty guy who claimed she got all of her security questions wrong.

He asked lots of questions and she was just 6 days out on when she opened the account. How many know the exact date they opened their account?

Asked what branch she opened the account in. It was online not in a branch. OK he said what branch are you linked to. Eh?? Its an online account having received just 3 emails, 2 warning of fraud and 1 saying they are updating their system.
How is she supposed to know what branch they have assigned her account to? Nothing on the paperwork.

Money goes in and then some of it goes to a regular saver. Never taken any money out before now.

Next question. Celestial signs, what are you. She didn't know what celestial meant. She calls to me and because i said star signs he had to block the account completely and end the call.

I thought FD were bad, TSB are a joke.

EDIT: Thrugelmir, I dont think she ordered one.

When you open the online account you have to say what branch you want the account linked to.

As above, account is linked to nearest my branch, I had to choose one when I opened it.

I can agreethat not everybody knows when an account was opened; if TSB asked me I'd only be able to say month and year; I know which branch it belongs to because I specified the one near work not near home. But Star Sign? I've never heard it called Celestial... I know what I am from Date of Birth but would that have been set up as a question? It's a bit ethno-centric as well.
I need to think of something new here...

    Oh what FUN!!!

Into the Branch this morning, Showed ID and attempted to transfer the money whilst in the branch. Account locked again.

90 minutes on the phone to get through to them. All reset again. The guy in the branch wouldn't let them go. Lucky...

    Failed again...

They marked it down to expect the transfer and allow it, failed. Deleted the payment data. Reset the account and tried again. Failed!!

Failed 7 times in total. They don't know why it's failing. Not the only one it seems.

Some guy came in with late payment utility bills, but showed the bank the money was going out so where were they sending it.
Another guy having issues transferring money also. Seems to be ongoing issues since their system update.

Made her late for work and they are supposed to be phoning her later, not sure why because the issue seems to be 100% their system at fault.

Your OK putting money in but how dare you want any of it back...

Sheramber, no idea about that, but i queried the being linked to a branch and he said the sort code is an online one and nothing on the system about which branch she was supposed to use. So that's a puzzle.

NBLondon, No the star sign was not a security question, More of a quiz. Like being on milionire. Its easy if you know it.

How can she find out which branch she is linked to? The guy in the local branch did not have a clue.
