Hello.
My present car is currently off road (my drive) on a sorn with expired MOT.
It is currently insured until November. I have no immediate plans to get it back on the road.
I have 10 years NCD.
My question is how can I retain this NCD? Or most of it.
I would be prepared to pay for another years insurance whether I get the car back on the road or not.
Car is 2002 Citroen Saxo.
I don't wish to lose all that hard payed for NCD.
Please advise. Thanks.

It usually lasts for two years if not used.0

You can insure a vehicle that is declared SORN and has no MOT if you want to, there's nothing preventing that. However insurers will usually honour a proof of no claims for up to two years.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230

You can usually keep it for 2 years without insuring it. Or you can get insurance for it off road.
How long are you planning on keeping it off the road?0
