Down to the 4 figure club!

So this month - I am now down from owing 5 figures to 4 figures.

Less than 1 year now until i am Debt-Free and I can make some life changes!!

It has been a tough time, and whilst I am excited to be into the 4 figure club, I am getting increasingly frustrated and impatient with it now. I have had a redundancy lately with a pay cut, but commuting costs have meant that I can keep my repayments at the same level.

Just wanted to share that.

So this week I received a letter from one of my creditors to advise that their debt had been fully settled.

    3 down - 3 to go.

£930 with MBNA (will pay that off in Oct 18)
£2,235 with Barclaycard (will pay it off in Feb 19)
£3,633 with Barclays (will pay it off in Feb 19)

So in 7 months this chapter of my life will be behind me, never to return!! Excited? YES. Impatient? Yes.

Also, I lost 8lbs last week! Boom.
  • Hi secretdebt,

I totally understand how frustrating it can be, I have been there and still got 15 days to go (feels somehow still long after 15 yrs in debt ) BUT I do think you/we need to go through the pain now, to never get back there again!!!
We need to learn these lessons to never go back again.

Fill you time with things that meaningful and don't cost much! Appreciate the little things in life, as corny as it sounds...

Well done on the weight loss, that is amazing, I wish I could say the same....
