Overseas bank transfers

Hi guys! need help and advice here.
I have recently started doing business overseas, in NZ. Though my business is UK based, we now need to investigate ways of handling money from NZ coming back to the UK. I have used paypal which is fine for now, but wondered if anyone knows or has used a way of money being transferred from a NZ based bank account into either my UK PayPal/Revolut or something similar WITHOUT having to pay the ridiculous charges that my current back (natwest) charge per transaction.
Thanks in advance!

Is the NZ account you mention your own? If so, there are many service you can use - TransferWise being one of them.

If not, then you should really look to get a NZ account. It's possible that the TransferWise Borderless might offer NZ accounts at some point (they already offer Australian ones) but I don't know when that might happen.

  • Hi
the account in NZ is not mine, it is a subcontractor... Basically, looking for a way to transfer money without paying the high charges

Have the subcontractor send the funds using a transfer service, not directly from their bank to yours, to cut out the bank fees and adverse exchange rates. TransferWise are fine, or use a comparison site such as Monito to find those appropriate.
