hello again,
does anyone know what i can use to 'colour' in a section of tile in my bathroom please? i have 5 'feature' tiles above / around the bath that have orange 'sections' i would love to colour this orange bit in silver to hide it. any suggestions please? i can't remove the tiles and the orange does not go!
i had considered using a sharpy but i do not believe it will work? i think hammerite would peel?

Homebase do a nice selection of tile paint but I am not 100% sure what colours they come in our how much you'd like to spend.
I think so much of the end result is in the preparation and that would have to be diligent (I bought a home with painted tiles and omg what a mess as they'd clearly not prepped properly)
Good luck!0 -
Plastikote (think they might be called something else now) do a range of 'craft paints'. Normally a few quid each and from memory stick to most things.
Tile paint is the obvious answer but then ill think youll be pretty limited with colours and youll be paying over £10 for the tiny bit of paint youll use.

thats the stuff, not linking to seller but the product. They do a wide range of colours that includes a few 'silvers' (chrome, brushed, polished etc)0 -
Nail varnish or model paint. Clean the tile properly or nothing will stick to it.

Can you gently scrape off the orange bits without making it look worse?0

Looks like the orange is over the tile but under the glaze - so it may be possible to very gently scrape it out and re-glaze the medallion.
Will be fiddly and time consuming, though.0 -
thank you very much for all your replies, i will see what i can find locally fingers crossed one of your awesome ideas will work, the orange is (personally) horrendous and is spoiling all the work i have put into the 'renovation'.- Chez0
