Solicitor withholding funds

I am nearing the end of a fully amicable and uncontested divorce.
We have a date next month for the Nisi and we have already agreed a Financial Settlement.

Our house, in joint names, was sold/completed last week But the solicitors have withheld some of the funds. Is this correct?

We've agreed "privately" on a financial settlement. This appears to be an unequal split 'on paper', but there are mutually agreed reasons for that which we are both fully in agreement with.

Now, on the same day that we sold the house, I purchased a new property, using just over £50000 of my spouse's 'share' of the sale, as agreed under our consent order.
He is keen to have the remainder of his share but has been told that this can't happen until the Court has sanctioned the divorce.

Neither my husband or I understand how his funds from the sale of the house can be at the same time unavailable to him, whilst being available to me to finance my new property
We would like to write a joint email to my solicitors querying this, any advice/pointers will be very gratefully received

Many thanks
