Cash from credit cards

I read on this site a while ago, that you can get credit cards that let you withdraw cash at 0%.

Does anyone know which cards still offer this facility?

You are in a forum surround by threads discussing this topic. It is known as SBT (super balance transfers) or "stoozing".

To achieve it you don't do cash withdrawals, you do balance transfers to your bank account. Start by reading this article, then have a browse through the other threads on this message board if you want more information.

EDIT: PS - if you want a suggestion for a card to get started with I'd recommend Egg. They don't charge any fee for balance transfers and offer extra interest free balance transfers each anniversary.

Hate to disagree with a poster but I've just been offered more than 9k of cash withdrawals at 0% for nine months. Will need to check the T&Cs for cash handling fees but MBNA seem to have lost the plot entirely.

It will almost certainly not be a cash withdrawal but the net effect of a balance transfer to your current account can easily be argued to be the same.

A cash withdrawal would be taking your card to the bank handing it over and asking to withdraw 9K on it - I assume that MBNA have offered to pay 9K into your current account which is not quite the same thing.
