Nationwide account setup time

I have some money in a fixed account due to end later this month. I was just wondering how long it takes from applying for the Flex Direct account online to actually being able to deposit funds into the account to start earning interest?

I applied 18th April it seems a slow process so far.
Have got my account number, sort code , pin and card (the pin and card arrived 4th and 5th May) but can't access internet banking yet.
Am reluctant to pay across into the account until I can see the account for myself with online banking. Hoping details for that turn up tomorrow after Bank Holiday.£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120 -
That's good to know, sounds like I'm probably best applying now if I ideally want to deposit funds around 25th May0
