E: 09/05 Win a luxurious Michelin-starred break for two
Sunday Times Where Was I? competition
The prize:
The winner and a guest will spend two nights, B&B, at Lympstone Manor, the gastronomic hotel opened by one of Britain’s best chefs, Michael Caines, in 2017 — with an a la carte dinner as part of the prize. Overlooking the River Exe, the 21-bedroom hotel is set in a restored 18th-century mansion, and its interiors take their cue from the beautiful estuary setting, with all the rooms named after local birds. Many have a private terrace, a garden, a soak tub and a fire pit.
Unsurprisingly, food and wine are central to the experience. Lympstone Manor has already won its first Michelin star, and it has three wine cellars and a wine-tasting room. This month, Caines will begin planting a vineyard on the 28-acre estate, with the aim of producing his own champagne-method sparkling wine.
The included dinner is for two people, excluding drinks. The prize must be taken before October 31, 2018, subject to availability and excluding public holidays.
