1st water bill - does this sound right ? advice pls

I moved into my flat in Feb, and received a bill for 6 months for £144.95 which equates to roughly £25/month.
Would this be an estimate ?
Cos i dont remember them coming to read any meter; plus would this sound right for a 2bed flat with 2 adults and a toddler ?
Can I get an accurate reading instead?
And would u recomm that I pay direct debit monthly or in 1 lump sum ?
And advice / guidance appreciated..
Thanks!!

  • My meter is where my drive meets the pavement , like a small man hole in the ground. So the meter man reads it from outside. It used to say E on the bill if it was an estimate. Your bill is roughly the same as mine. I budget it to £5 a week so it looks about right. I pay it in one lump sum every 6 months but I put the money away each week in a tin. Some companies charge you less if you pay by direct debit so I would check with your supplier. I prefer to see a bill and pay it the old fashion way I find it easier that way but thats just me ... :D

Ring the supplier and they will give you a meter location, as long as the meter reader has input the correct location you should find it easily.
