Fraudulent debit card payment

Good Afternoon,

I went into my TSB bank account today to find a payment made through SQ*SQAURE CASH something I had never heard of. Our bank account has had a payment of £1975 taken from it.

I have spoken to the bank and they are assigning us a fraud officer and they have closed out account down.

Does anyone know how long the process takes and if / when we will get our money back? We have been told someone will call us within 2 working days.

You can google square cash. Did you say the bank.closed the whole account down because of a debit card payment ?

I looked at it and it a peer to peer payment service done via an app or by email. They have put my account on hold until the Fraud Dept can call me, speak to me and decide on their next steps.
