MBNA PPi

Options
Hello, I wonder if somebody can help me?

I recently moved house and found some old paperwork from an old credit card that I held with MBNA.

I remember the account because during the time of holding it I got into a little financial difficulty. I till the card out in Jan 99 and I had that in front of me no box ticked for ppi but it was added.

I know I still had the card in 2004 because they sold it onto Cabot who then added lots of interest and chased me for the debt.

I have today received a letter from mbna stating that they have upheld my claim but due to no records are only paying me £815 for a period of Feb 99 to Feb 00.

Is there anything I can do about this if I don't have statements?

Any help would be appreciated.

If you can't prove more, then accept what they have offered, you won't get any more.

You are fortunate to receive even that amount.

If the Bank's records were complete, they'd know you ultimately defaulted on this finance and so could offset any redress against the amount unpaid.

I'd let sleeping dogs lie on this one...
