Vodafone mistaken offer email

Hi all,
I received an email from Vodafone with (an unbeleivable) sim only upgrade offer:
25GB
250 mins
Unlimited txts
£6.60 per month.
Upgrade in store.
I went in to my local store, the sales assistant said they can't give me the deal as one doesn't exist on the system. I went home and called 191 to speak to customer services, he spoke to his manager who said if it's our mistake, we have to honour it. I'll make a note on your file, go back to the store, get them to phone us and once the assistant varifies seeing your email, he'll be authorised to put it on.
-To cut a long story short, they won't now honour it.
Any advice how to address this?
Cheers, Philip

There will be notes on the system or atleast a call recording. Escalate via the customer services and make sure that this is noted, someone quoted you that they would honour the deal so by all means they should.
Send an e-mail first so that there is a paper trail and go from there.
I don't know why they can't do you this deal over the phone, they should have a sales department. I'd ask them this rather than have them send you back to store.0 -
You've obviously had little experience of Vodafone "customer service".
OP, don't waste your time with that - contact the WRT following the perennial instructions on the main Vodafone Complaints tread. Bear in mind it'd be goodwill on their part - they have no legal obligation to honour what was offered.0 -

Personally I've got plenty of experience with customer service and it's all got to start somewhere. I'm not saying they're angels but starting somewhere is a good idea.0 -

Hi Philip,
Thanks for coming back to me.
I've checked your reference number and can see that one of my colleagues updated you on 30 March.
