Plusnet mobile - great service

Just wanted to say thanks to Plusnet for giving me a great price on a monthly SIM and a reward for loyalty.

I was wanting to switch my contract from unlimited minutes to 2000 mins a month. They matched another providers price, then offered me a discount and finally said ''as you've been with us over 18 months I'm going to give you unlimited minutes for the same price''.

So in a 5 minute call I halved my monthly payment for the same minutes and data deal.

Great - shame they are on a terrible network (EE) with no access to 4G or wifi calling.

Terrible for you maybe, but doesn't mean terrible for everyone.

Agreed, not terrible for most, EE consistently win the independent network performance tests.

As said above, no problem with the EE network at all where I am.

I presume you mean no 4G voice calls rather than just no 4G. Nobody has access (on the EE network) to WiFi or 4G voice calling as far as I'm aware except EE customers. If it's important to you then you pay triple the price (or whatever) rather than Plusnet prices.

I'm glad the OP is happy, but without sounding too cynical getting a good deal from a sales agent is not the same as good service. Good customer service will only be evident if/when something goes wrong.

Only EE contract customers to be precise.

Though BT Mobile is in the process of rolling 4G Calling out to their customers, from what I've heard, I would think as Plusnet is also owned by BT they should be near the front of the queue to get it reasonably soon as well.

They're talking about VoLTE or voice over 4G which is only supported by EE (on their network) and then only on certain (top end) phones. As someone pointed out above BT may be getting it too but I have my doubts over whether PN will also.
