Using the Featured Item Option

Hi, Ive got several baby bundles listed on ebay and none of them have any watchers or bidders. When I do the search my items do not turn up in correct place within the time left order. I think it is because it is not got the feature item. But this costs 9.95 which would be more than what they would go for. Have I got this right?? Thanks Lenny

The featured auctions always show up first, then after that the rest of the items in time order (assuming sort by time remaining is the default search used). However using several searches I can't see any featured auctions at all in any of the baby clothes searches.
Baby clothes are not the easiest things in the world to sell and having seen your auctions via another thread your post and packing costs were a bit high and might put bidders off. However, many items only sell in the last few hours, so you do have time yet to get a bid or two.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. lenny, one way of looking at your auctions is to look at them from a buyers point of view as that has in the past made my mind up about selling a line or letting it go.
For instance assume baby clothes as that is the basis of this thread and assume a batch of 8 assorted used sleep suits. The buyer knows that can buy 8 brand new sleep suits fresh out the packet from several high street places for say £8 (probably dearer in M and S and cheaper than that in Primark). They would then be looking to spend less than that second hand, say £5 in total. Loooking at auctions asusming they have that £5 on their mind the items they would be interested in would need to be less than that including post and packing.
If your auctions are more than that *including * the post and packing then you will struggle to sell. That sort of backwards example is worth doing with anything where postage costs can make a big difference..an example from my own recent searches was a book. I wanted a book which I could get for £10 in WH Smiths, several people were selling that book on ebay at around the £5-£6 mark but with postage costs in the region of £5- £6 as well so for a guaranteed mint copy I was better off going to Smiths.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
