Paying Inland rev Tax bill at bank,their SortCode?

If you want to go to the bank to make a tax payment, for an amount the inland revenue have sent you that you owe them,
if you want to go to the bank to pay this as a transfer from your bank account to them, then what is the Sort code + account number for the tax payment?
it is for tax for Income tax.
I suppose the REF would be the persons National insurance number, but where does the payment get made too? the HMRC sort code/ account number?
and have you done this sort of a payment before? how quick did they take to receive it?

When you say the payment is for income tax, do you mean Self Assessment or have you received a P800/PA302[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.
