Buying at uk airport do you have to declare it in return back to uk ?

It doesn't matter what the destination of the plane or boat is.
What matters is your final destination.

My definition of destination means where you finish your journey, no need for "final" - otherwise you are in transit.

You will have fulfilled duty free regulations for exporting liquor when you reach any destination outwith the EU.

However, I think you are asking if you can bring it back, plus duty free purchased in the USA ?

Nothing to stop you bringing it back (checked in hold luggage) however it will fall within your total duty free allowance for importing to the UK - so you can't import duty free purchased in America as well.

That's my understanding, second opinion would be useful.

Which will make up part of your duty free allowance of £390.

So assuming the watch etc is less than £390 and the items you then buy in new york do not take you over that amount then its non declareable!

In the UK airport duty free outlet and bringing it back home ?

You may find it's cheaper to buy in the USA.

If you know the specific brand and model etc. it's worth having a trawl around the internet.
