Car problems
IHi can any one help
I've a mondeo on a 2013 plate 90% of the time if I open driver's door with key on ,ignition off it blows a fuse
If I open driver's door with key on ignition on car running it blows the immobile fuse this happens 90% of the time also
I thought it was broken wire in driver's door wiring loom so I replaced it and it is still blowing fuses
Has any one got any ideas before I have to take it to ford which will cost a fortune
Sorry about punctuation
Many thanks

Specialist auto-electrician rather than Ford.0

Is there a buzzer/bell telling you you've left the keys in the car, or one that tells you a doors open when the ignition is either on or running?
Try key on or engine running and open the passenger door a few times.0 -
It sounds like one of the central locking door solenoids is shorting out. Auto-electrician is the way to go if you can't debug it yourself.0

Thanks for advice
There is no buzzer on when I leave keys in and fuse only blows on driver's door0 -
Well thanks for advice but my car electrics started smoking from dash yesterday so I've taken it to the garage so I'll have to see what happened0

That usually indicates an expensive repair. Might end up being a dashboard out job. There's sod all room behind the dash and there's a large loom that runs from passenger side where the fuse box is right across the front of the car.0
