Hi my ltd accounts is past due by 3-4 days. I underestimated how long it will take over the holidays. I am racing ahead now to get it done before 31/Dec (last day). But I think it will take a couple of days pas tthat to finalise the books and then get accountant to produce and file the accounts. My accountant is very good and he cant do everything within 1 day.
I just need to get the books reconciled and all the mileage, use of home expenses posted.
Would HMRC be symaptethic if I'm late by such a small amount of time? I appealed a self asssesment delayed submission not so long ago and they let me off the £100 fine and just said not to do it any more.
Would be handy to to know if I will be let off sol I have a few more days to get all the expenses in and reduce corp tax. Also save £50 additional "urgent filing" fee by my accountant. Accountant charges that when I need something done very short notice.

Unless you have a proper reason, you're unlikely to get HMRC and Co House fines waived. £50 extra fee for your accountant to turn them around in a day is incredibly good value and you're lucky to have an accountant who can do it.0

I would recommend you pay the accountant £50 as the chances of both HMRC and Companies house waiving are slim0

I managed to get it done in time. The accountant did it for me in new years eve!
Filled and submitted the CT600 today and I'm going to make payment via debit card now to HMRC so all sent on time.0 -

You are very lucky to have an accountant who'll work New Year's Eve (and a Sunday to boot) for just £50 extra. I hope you've bought him a bottle to show your appreciation.0
