Failed Delivery of goods - company now wants to charge £25 redelivery fee

Hi Guys

So i ordered a Dishwasher few days ago from this company

Got a SMS and Email the Night before saying my Delivery will be here the next day between the hours of 7am-9am and 30 mins prior to arrival the Driver will call me to confirm he is on his way..

so next day 7.15am I got a phone call..i happened just to be in the shower that time so missed it

so then i rang back around 30mins later just to see who it was as i was certain it was the driver, no response

so i waited all day and nothing arrived

so i contacted the company who have now told me i have to pay an extra £25 redelivery fee and that that driver came and knocked at 7.15am and no answer

Now the thing is i was waiting for a call from them as they said..so i was expecting a call at around 6:45am but had nothing whatsoever so seems the driver rang at 7.15, knocked and went away

Any reason for me to complain about this? My only issue was i got no phone call 30mins before his arrival which i got told i would get

so now they want to charge me 25 quid for redelivery fee

Thoughts?

    Yes it was done online

Problem is for a Cancellation they want to Charge £50 for some strange reason!

As i mentioned the only issue i have was that no phone call 30mins prior or i would have been well prepared for them to arrive but no phone call nothing.. i guess i can use this against them?

If i wasn't in at all and didn't contact them at all i would have no complaints..

Which company did you order from? Sounds dodgy.

If their T&Cs state that they will phone 30 minutes before delivering I would ask them to prove they called at 6.45am, then insist on free delivery.

Saying that, if I had a delivery arriving 7am to 9am, then I would take a shower before or after!!!!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Did they give a reason? I'm pretty sure they can't do this unless the goods are personalised in some way.

I expect it's charges by the delivery company for taking it back to the depot and bringing it out again.
