Quick NPB question...

I had a buyer who bid on 8 items in the last 15 seconds of each auction within about 20 minutes. I had no time to check her feedback and hence cancel her bids.

She then complained about the postage, I offered a small discount even tho i specifically dont advertise combined p+p and looked at her feedback and she has had a few negatives for not paying.

I dont care about getting negatives quite honestly because this is 100% her fault and she has been an awful buyer (needless to say i havent been paid and shes stopped responding to emails) and it would be a shame to ruin my 100% feedback, but it would be well worth it to leave her the 8 negatives that she deserves. Im well fed up of her!

If I put in a dispute for all 8 items, will her account be suspended? I thought it was 3 strikes and you're out? or is it 3 strikes from
3 different sellers?

many thanks in advance!

You have to have 3 Strikes from 3 different Sellers within 60days before eBay will suspended them.

Will you be sending all the items together? or are you one of these sellers that rely on the postage to make for the losses on the auctions

Thanks for the reply. Nope not one of the above kind of sellers, thats why its really annoyed me!

I also hasten to add the p+p was stated fair and square!

So why not offer a combined postage discount or a maximum postage price (i.e. buy 2 or more items & pay £8.00 P&P), you may get more multiple sales

I'm with you on this. Buyers should ask before bidding about postage discounts, not after. I personally wouldn't have offered a discount at all because she went about it the wrong way. You have offered a discount but heard nothing back so I would leave it at that. If she doesn't pay in 7 days I'd file an NPB for every item and leave neg feedback. Oh and block her from bidding on your items in the future.

I quite agree with the above. You ask before bidding about combined postage.

Open a NPB if she does not pay, too many buyers out there who bid & never pay

Grr. Why do people bother bidding if they're not going to pay!

I would never assume a seller will combine postage, unless they specifically state they will in the listing.

Hope it gets sorted for you.

I opened the dispute for all 8 items, and she came back and said "most sellers offer discount hence all buyers expect this from sellers and you should state that you don't combine postage in your listing" I offered a small discount as goodwill, but she can do one now!!

I was tempted to tell her she should
read the listing first and ASSUME NOTHING! (i always ask first, if they say no then thats fine, and if I bid, I accept the p+p price and don't haggle it!!)

Similar thing happened to me. Someone bought 3 of my items with BIN and expected combined postage when I clearly stated I do not offer this in my auctions.

All items are prepackaged so I never offer combine postage plus the fact I need to claw back fees with my P+P which is stated as 'Shipping and Handling'.

He decided to be rude about the situation and started lecturing me, 'Well I've used ebay for 8 years and all good sellers combine etc'. I stopped communicating with him and fired 3 strikes at him. He became suspended, I doubt all 3 of my strikes registered on his account but I'm sure one of them led to his suspension.

How satisfying it was to get a grovelling email from him asking that I remove the strike and that he intends to pay for the items. Well I resold the items to other users, so tough luck to him. I never replied to him after I striked him out.
