How easy do you want getting an energy quote to be?

There has been talk of data models being created by Data teams within energy suppliers that would be able to provide accurate micropricing for your home - meaning that they would be able to accurately forecast how much energy your home will use and be able to offer you a personalised price for your energy based on only your house number and postcode.
My questions would be however;
Would you trust a personalised price from an energy company based on the energy it forecasts you will use having been calculated from knowing only your house number and postcode?
If an energy company already knew your address details to be able to offer you a totally personalised energy quote via an email, would you find this to be a convenient step in making getting an energy quote easier?
Would you always expect to provide your house details and energy consumption details when getting your next energy quote or would you feel comfortable with most of this data being pre-populated for you based on accurate data models?

Welcome to the forum.
The phrasing of the above sounds suspiciously like it is going to turn out to be spam.
Also 'frazmcb' who has 'thanked you' has joined the forum today specifically to thank you for your post - how nice!0 -
Unless there was a way to 'update' the information held, I'd still calculate my own projections and use them.
We use a lot less than the previous owners, and have been cutting our own usage year on year, as we make various improvements. Eventually it'll bottom out I'm sure, but as it is, Energy companies always overestimate how much we will use.
If we weren't going into winter without a 'balance buffer' due to having just switched, I'd be having to get onto E.ON to lower our DD by £5 a month.
To be honest, my preferred way of making quoting simpler, is to just have a list or map of the UK split into regions, that just gives me the unit prices and standing charges for my region when I pick it, and not force me to enter any personal details at all.3.6 kW PV in the Midlands - 9x Sharp 400W black panels - 6x facing SE and 3x facing SW, Solaredge Optimisers and Inverter. 400W Derril Water (one day). Totally agree. A quote for my area which gives price per unit, the standing charge per day & whether those prices include VAT or not (it can sometimes be quite a challenge to find this out). I am quite capable of figuring out what my usage will cost at those prices & really hate being told "Oh that will cost you £1000 per year". They have absolutely no need to know who I am. Well not unless they are fudging the figures anyway.0 -

No. Not a chance.0 -
Preferred heating and hot water requirements vary considerably from one person to another resulting in fuel requirements varying by around plus or minus 20 percent at a guess. No algorithm can include this factor unless it includes several years of historic consumption.0

This sounds no different to the door-to-door salesmen who without looking " guaranteed" to save hundreds of £Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
