New ebayers - bloody annoying!

Somehow a ebayer with 0 feedback managed to bid on my item, dispite me putting "no bidders from peope with less than 5 feedback", so I thought i'd give it a chance. She emailed me last night wanting to send a postal order, whereas I stated on my auction paypal only (I had a fake postal order in the past and a abusieve ebayer over it). I emailled her stating I accepted paypal only due to fraud in the past, and so i've just had this email back :
Q: well, thats up to you i am a genuine ebayer looking for a bargain...do you still want to sell me the wii skin? thank you
I can't get to a post office until next weekend now anyway, just posted all the other things that finished and were paid for by ebay. Shall I just say yes to the postal order? Or stick to my guns? I always prefer paypal really as I save money through it
Are there a lot of fake postal orders about or are they harder to forge?

I've never had a fake postal order, so I'm guessing they are probably quite rare. I prefer paypal too, but on the bright side, when you get a postal order, you don't have to pay paypal fees, so I say you should just agree, and if it's fake, you don't have to send your item out... but I'm sure they are genuine anyway. It's pretty much up to you!I

I have never received a fake postal order
Its your choice but newbies have to start somewhere....
Personally I would accept postal order...

I would accept it too. You could bring the item on that day so you can send it after you cashing it unless she crossing it.0

yeah i always insisited on uncrossed postal orders nad just used them to pay for postage when i did the PO run.
that way if it was fake you could find out before sending.
however its up to you as to whether you can be bothered or just insist on paypal. they chose ot bid so balls in your court0 -
Yeah, I said she could do postal order - but I won't be able to post it until next weekend , just edgy about it all after the fake and the abuse I got from the buyer because I wouldn't send until I got the actual payment. Was mainly wondering if it happened a lot. Little annoyed the buyer didn't ask before buying though, just assumed.~*Cerenia*~

Oh christ, got the postal order today, and its a crossed one? So apparently I have to pay it into my bank account, and she's adamant that its uncrossed, and thinks i'm trying to scam her by not sending out the goods. Looks like i'm getting my first neg >.> I'm refusing to send it until the cash is either in my bank account, or in my hand, converted from a PO.~*Cerenia*~

Some you can get free, some you can't, promo ones you can't.
I'm still confused as to how it bypassed the rule I clicked stating ebayers with 5 feedback or more o.O~*Cerenia*~

Do you mean for the console or the Wiimotes? I know about the remote ones but would love a free console skin:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
