Non-paying bidder! Advice pls!!!

Hi guys
Ive only fairly recently started really selling on ebay, sold quite a few things no problems.
However, had an item on there that ran out last night & the bidding went mad at the last minute. 1 person, made one last minute bid & won the item for £26 (which im chuffed with) but they have 1 neg feedback & some positive, but its "private" so I cant see it. Anyway, they havent completed checkout or sent a message or anything, so alarm bells are ringing.
Anyway, my questions are, when is an unpaid item, an unpaid item? I have looked on ebay, but all i can see realy is how to dispute. It doesnt say, but dont you have to wait 7 days before you can do this?
Also, because there were quite a few other bids, when can I do a second chance offer? Do i have to wait 7 days for this, as the bidders might have bought another item in that time?
It just doesnt look like they are going to pay to me, perhaps Im being a bit hasty, but never had a delay, in at least letting me know how they are going to pay before.
Sorry for being so long winded, any advice on what do to & whether I should just wait the 7 days, would be much appreciated.

You cannot do anything until the 7th day & then file a UPI Dispute.
Make sure you've sent them an invoice & it might be the buyer has used a auction sniper tool & wasn't online when the auction finished0 -

Auction sniper tool? Not heard of that! Is it likely, they only have 10 feedback total, so not buying much?!
Perhaps, they are just slow as you say daisy. Just they were the last bidder, i wouldve expected them to checkout straight away.
Oh, well, 7 days it is then. A learning experience I guess. Thanks for your help guys.0 -
it happens fairly regular to me,did you ask for instant payment?
maybe they are going to send a cheque or postal order, most folk who send me postal orders or cheques usually dont bother using the checkout feature and send me a message asking my address.
give it a few days then resend the invoice....work permit granted!0 -
Thanks goldspanners. One person did send me a message once, rather than checkout. But this person hasnt done anything at all! Think I'll try that, I'll send another invoice in a couple of days.
They have a phone No registered....should i call if no payment, or just email???0 -
personally i wouldnt bother calling them,i would open the unpaid dispute get them a black mark against thier account and leave them a neg feedback.
then offer a second chance offer to the next highest bidder if it reached what i want for the item.
if they didnt buy it i would then relist the item, you will have got your fees back from opening the dispute.
i know its a pain,but that is ebay for you....work permit granted!0 -
Its the having to wait 7 days bit thats such a pain. Since theyve already got negative feedback, it probably wont help much!
Thanks for advice. xxx0
