I have re-discovered a box of science fiction magazines, late 80s early 90s. These mags have been boxed since I moved house in 1997. I tried selling a few on ebay but no bids. I have no idea what to do with them. I dont want to put them in the recycling, but I cant imagine they would be any good to my local charity shop. Help!

I am sure I saw a pile of old Beanos in a charity shop the other day, so I wouldn't be so sure they're not interested. Have you got time to phone round a few shops and ask? Also have you been able to identify any Sci-Fi sites where you might be able to sell them? Especially if, say, there are Dr Who stories in them. I speak from no particular knowledge here, just wondering...

If you're in SW, there's a shop called Forbidden Planet in Bristol, they might be worth a call as well. Don't think they sell secondhand stuff themselves but they might know who does.
    Still knitting!
Completed: TWO adult cardigans, 3 baby jumpers, 3 shawls, 1 sweat band, 3 pairs baby bootees, 2 sets of handwarmers, 1 Wise Man Knitivity figure + 1 sheep, 2 pairs socks, 3 balaclavas, multiple hats and poppies, 3 peony flowers, 4 butterflies ...
Current projects: pink balaclava (for myself), seaman's hat, about to start another cardigan!

I would think most major cities would have sci fi shops who would happily take them off your hands, I'm pretty sure there's one in Canterbury...

I just pop in now and then.... :)
