Lost car CD front cover

Hi
My mum has lost the removeable front from her car CD/Radio. Does anybody know if replacements can be bought or is it cheaper to write the whole unit off? She would prefer to have a new front as the CD/Radio was a present.
Is this normally covered on insurance - either car or household? Probably not worth claiming due to the excess.
I've emailed Sony but thought I'd ask here as well as others must have lost the panel.
Thanks in advance.

whats the model number?
often fronts sold on ebay though it depends on the value of the meain unit really0 -
Post the model number if you can find it, I have a fascia lying around here, chances of it being the same are pretty slim but if the numbers match you are welcome to it. As custardy said E-Bay seems a good source, £5-£20, In car cds are getting cheaper all the time pretty good ones around the £50 mark these days.0

Hi
Thanks for the replies. It's a Sony CDX-FG5000-C.
I'm hoping that it is behind the glovebox/heating controls. Dad's having (another) look tomorrow. Hopefully, he'll find it!
I haven't heard from Sony yet.

So long as you are sorted. How much for the CD etc? I'll be visiting mum in November and I could fit that for her. PM me if you wish.
Thanks

Oh well it was a long shot anyway but good luck hope you get sorted.0

£68.44 from Sony for a new front. I'm still hoping that the original has fallen down behind the heater controls.

At £68.44 for the replacement facia I would buy a new head unit. you can get mp3 units for about £60 from Halfords, online they have the reconditioned ripspeed DVD player for £80.0
