Does this sound legitimate?

On Friday I had a call which went as follows;
Is this (my name)
Yes
I am (name) from (place)
You have won a £250 asda voucher
Oh right.
He explains it's a card etc etc
Ask me to confirm my postcode
Which I did and he said I'll receive it within 21 days

Problem being I had only just woke up and can't remember where he said he was calling from.
My paranoid side says something may not be right but the other side thinks he only asked for my postcode and told me my house number without me confirming.

Could it of been a spam of some kind?

Was it a call to your mobile, if you can still get the number post it and someone will find out who it is actually calling you.

Sounds pretty legit to me though.

It was a private number.
He didn't ask me to do anything apart from conform my postcode.

Sorry if this is annoying to add - did the man sound "happy" for you? On the few occasions I've received a call with a prize I've won, they're usually glad to recount the good news.... Just an idea

He goes on to say it'll be card etc and ill receive it within 21 days.

The issue is I had just woken up so I don't remember where he said he was from.
There is good chance I did enter a competition to win one.

I'm wondering if it could be a scam of some sort?

I think it can be legit, otherwise he needed to know the all your address.

When I won a Selfridges card a while ago I had that exact phone call, card arrived soon after. Sounds legit to me

Sounds legit, but the only comp I've been able to find with a recent end after quickly searching MSE is this one and it finished back in July. I couldn't find anything more recent, but MSE's search isn't brilliant at the best of times.
