Best non-Amex reward card for miscellaneous spend

Hi, I've recently separated and am going through the process of organising my own finances for the first time in a while. I have already applied for and received the gold Amex charge card for primary spend (petrol, groceries, travelcard, going out, general daily spend); I would like to get an additional reward card (which I will also pay off in full each month) for day to day spend wherever Amex isn't accepted. I've researched reward Visa and Mastercard options and see that the supermarkets offer good rewards if you use the card when you shop with them - but as supermarket spend will go on the Amex, I want a card instead that doesn't necessarily reward loyalty to one store but that will earn me decent points for miscellaneous spend, e.g. work canteen, corner shop, utility bills, school trip costs etc. I already have quite a lot of (Virgin and Avios) air miles earned through previous cards so not keen to get an airline one; Would rather have something that can earn cashback or vouchers.Don't mind if it's Visa or Mastercard.
Any recommendations would be welcome!
Thanks
Zoe
EDIT: I have a v good credit rating.

Natwest/RBS rewards card comes to mind, especially if you also have one of their Rewards current account.
As I like to travel a lit in my spare time and holidays, I personally tend to use the Lloyds Avios Amex for most spend, their. Mastercard as not Amex /spend abroad and the Hilton/Barclaycard for not amex spend in the UK.0 -
For non-Amex I use the Hilton card too, if you don't want hotel points then I think the best you can do is 0.5% cashback on Aqua / Nationwide Select / otherwise Asda/John Lewis 1% back in Asda/JL vouchers for spend there0
