High Income Child Benefit Tax Charge

Are there any plans to change the threshold when the High Income Child Benefit Tax Charge is applied? Shouldn't the value of £50,000 and £60,000 change with inflation?

Also for married couples, this charge should be applied on joint income and not individual income.

Case Study:
Family A where both partners earn £45k annually.
Take home pay after tax/NI deduction: £33,881 each
Total household income after tax/NI = £67,762
Eligible for Child Benefit Payment = YES

Family B where wife is housewife and husband earns £61k annually
Take home pay after tax/NI deduction: £43,160
Total household income after tax/NI = £43,160
Eligible for Child Benefit Payment = NO
