A laughable credit limit?

DOES ANYBODY KNOW OF A GOOD STRATEGY TO IMPROVE ONE'S CREDIT SCORE?
Recently, (in a search for the 0% credit cards) I've been given Barclaycard 0% with a laughable £300 limit and the CapitalOne six-month 0% with £200 limit. They are obviously cherry picking their customers because my limits on other cards are between £2,500-4,000 and normally repayed promptly and in full?

Is there a law in the UK that states that all lenders MUST provide credit facilities for every single person that applies?
Didn't think so.
If you have a query, order your credit report. That will at least give you some impression as to why, but all companies have different policies when it comes to who they are prepared to lend to.0 -

You should a) get hold of your credit files and b) ask why these lenders gave you low limits.
Too many searches in too short a space of time and too much debt compared to income would probably put most lenders off.0
