One Way Vavle for Dishwash Inlet Hose

As title. I have a dishwasher next to the sink, the water feed is spurred off the cold water tap. Since i've installed it, ive noticed a "tang" to the water if left "off" for a while - presumably the new dishwasher inlet hose is causing this as there was never an issue before.
I'm looking for a 1 way vavle to get between the hose and the standard cold water "T". It's all JG Speedfit so preferably something that just screws on.
Regards
Paul

Check with your water company Anglian Water will send you one free, I had a similar problem but it ended up being the kettle causing the water to taste of TCP (the kettle was replaced by the manufacturer). If at first you don't succeed, sky diving is not for you!0

I'd normally associate a 'tang' with something metalic rather than the rubber hose of a dishwasher.
Is the pipework copper? When you fitted the speedfit 'T' for the dishwasher have you inadvertently set up some kind of electrochemical reaction?
The rising main and the hot and cold pipes under the kitchen sink would normally have earth bonding. If the pipework is copper and you add in an insulating plastic fitting you can break the 'circuit' with potentially dangerous and unexpected results.
If you have got copper (or other metalic) pipework and you've tried the non-return valve and that hasn't worked, then I would consider adding a bonding link across the 'T'. You might want to consider doing that anyway, but without more details I wouldn't really want to say one way or another."In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -
Thanks for the responces all.
Molerat - I was hoping for something I could screw on directly to the splitter, rather than have to redo the pipework thats there. Currently have one of these:

billn - Deffinatly not the kettle, its specific to this tap and happens regardless of weether is drunk straight or boiled etc.
EachPenny - Perhapos tang was the wrong word, but im not sure what the correct term would be. It just tastes "funny"
I've taken the dishwasher off and capped the end and the tatste returns to nomal, so im convinced thats the cause. The pipework is all plastic speedfit thoughout. The only copper in the house is the main feed in and the boiler, the drinking/washing water is all plastic.0
